PaperStone® is a sustainable composite made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and PetroFree™ non-petroleum based phenolic resins. PaperStone® is VOC-free, including formaldehyde, and emits no radon gases, the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. It has been certified ‘food safe’ by NSF, the public health and safety company. PaperStone® is extremely rigid and dense. It is the greenest composite material available to designers and architects for many applications including: countertops, bathroom vanities, conference tabletops, window sills, custom furniture and more.

Recycled paper is saturated with our proprietary PetroFree™ phenolic resins and selected natural pigments on our treater lines. Resin-saturated sheets are stacked together and moved into a press where they are consolidated under heat and pressure. The number of paper sheets pressed determines the finished panel thickness.

It is a compact, hard, impermeable, composite product manufactured in the form of slabs with a wide range of applications in private, public and industrial sectors such as kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, tables, window-sills, flooring, etc.

Technistone® is produced from high-quality natural raw materials (crushed quartz, granite), mirror and glass granulates, a small amount of colour pigments and polyester resin. Approximately 93% of the product mass is formed by natural components; therefore the content of the polyester resin is about 7%.

Quartz is one of the hardest minerals found in nature. The quartz content in Technistone® gives it extreme strength, making it very durable and resilient to every day wear and tear.

Quartz is a natural stone. With a Quartz surface, you get the look and feel of granite, without the porosity inherent in a stone slab extracted directly from the Earth. Maintenance of a Quartz surface is simple--just wash it with warm water. Unlike other stone surfaces like granite, limestone or marble, Quartz won't stain, and it never needs sealing or reconditioning. Granite, limestone and marble are porous stones that need to be sealed regularly with a chemical treatment. These surfaces can absorb liquids and food, risking potential staining and bacterial growth in the countertop.

Generally, Quartz surface pricing is comparable to granite and other high-end countertop options. Kitchen companies, dealers, fabricators, and contractors establish countertop retail prices. Their specific price can vary based on the requirements for each particular project (joins, cutouts, splashbacks, etc), and it can also vary across different regions of the country.
